Cookies Policy
Given the essentially transactional nature of the service (placing an order), Foostix uses only first-party cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the site or explicitly consented to. We use no third-party audience measurement tool (no Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) or advertising pixel (no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads, no Bing UET, no TikTok Pixel).
What are cookies and how do we use them?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, mobile) when you visit our website. It allows foostix.com to recognise your browser on subsequent visits and ensure the proper operation of the ordering service. Foostix uses only session cookies and strictly necessary functional cookies: no audience measurement, marketing or advertising cookie is set.
Which cookies do we actually set?
Strictly necessary cookies (consent-exempt, art. 5 §3 §2 of Directive 2002/58/EC): ECSID (session), PESID (180 days — extended session memory), delivery_date and delivery_auto (1 year — scheduled order date/status), pickup (1 year — pickup/delivery preference), last_address (30 days — address auto-fill), show_in_app (1 day — technical legacy). Preference cookies (set only with your choice): lang (1 year — display language), foostix_cookie_consent (13 months — memory of banner choice).
Which cookies do we NOT set?
Foostix sets no third-party cookie. In particular, foostix.com uses no third-party audience measurement tool (no Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) and no advertising pixel (no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads, no Bing UET, no TikTok Pixel). This policy reflects the actual technical state on the date of publication.
Legal basis for cookies
Strictly necessary cookies (cart, session, authentication) are set without prior consent under article 5 §3 §2 of Directive 2002/58/EC and the CNPD guidelines on cookies. Preference cookies (language, banner choice memory) are set only with your choice expressed on first visit.
Cookie banner
Given the absence of audience measurement and advertising tools, Foostix does not display a granular consent banner. A brief informational notice may be displayed on your first visit, without any mandatory action from you, since the cookies used are consent-exempt or mere preferences.
How to refuse or delete cookies
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies already set (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Brave, Opera all have a «Privacy» section in their settings). Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will cause the service to malfunction (inability to complete an order, loss of cart). Foostix cannot be held responsible for such malfunction.
Retention period
Each cookie has a lifetime indicated in section 2. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies have a maximum lifetime of 13 months.
Updates to this policy
This policy may be updated. Any material change (in particular the introduction of a new measurement or marketing tool) will be subject to a fresh request for prior consent and a notice on the home page.
